Fellow for Leadership Summit: The Future of Local News and Public Media

Emily Donahue is KUT's news director and joined the station in 2001 to establish the station's newsroom. The outfit has grown from a crew of four into a staff of 10 reporters, editors and producers working in a nationally recognized journalism center. Under her leadership, KUT news has won more than 75 local, national and international awards for its reporting. Donahue is a veteran journalist with a background in print, television, radio and online. Prior to joining KUT, she was with the Peabody award-winning Marketplace as producer of the Marketplace Morning Report. Donahue began her career at NBC News in London and New York. Since that time, she has produced, edited and reported news for the critically acclaimed Monitor Radio news program, New England's Cable News network and WCVB Television in Boston, as well as serving as a commentator for The Christian Science Monitor's award-winning internet news service.
