Fellow for News Entrepreneur Boot Camp

Jeremy Iggers is the executive director of Twin Cities Media Alliance, the nonprofit organization that operates the Twin Cities Daily Planet. Prior to founding TCMA, Iggers spent 23 years as a staff writer and restaurant critic for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Before joining the Star Tribune, he was a staff writer for the Detroit Free Press. He has taught at the University of St. Thomas, University of Minnesota, Metropolitan State University in St. Paul and Stanford University journalism schools. Iggers has been the recipient of many awards, including the 2006 Knight-Batten Award for Innovation in Journalism, which was given to T.C. Daily Planet. Iggers holds a doctorate degree in philosophy from the University of Minnesota. His doctoral thesis on the ethics of journalism was published by the Westview Press as Good News, Bad News: Journalism Ethics and the Public Interest.
