imageTeresa Wippel is publisher of MyEdmondsNews.com. Earlier in her career, she was a reporter and editor at Seattle's Capitol Hill Times and Beacon Hill News. She has also been news editor at the Mercer Island Reporter and assistant editor at Port Angeles' Daily News. She returned to Seattle to become a news writer in the United Press International Seattle Bureau and also worked at the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle. There, she also edited Metro's monthly citizen news magazine, The Monitor, which won a national Clarion Award from the Association for Women in Communications. Wippel has also been the public relations manager at Life Chiropractic College West and founded Teresa Wippel Communications Consulting. She has served as editor and director of editorial services for Go2Net, managing editor of ParentMap, and director of communications and community relations for the Seattle Storm, Seattle's professional women's basketball team. She was awarded the Georgina McDougall Davis Founders Award in 2007. Wippel graduated magna cum laude with a journalism degree from Seattle University.
