Craig Matsuda is a program consultant to the Knight Digital Media Center and an accomplished communications professional. He served in top assignment editor roles in international news, the editorial and opinion pages, and across the features departments at the Los Angeles Times, where he last was a senior editor working on newsroom staffing, development and administration. He's also edited or reported for the Denver Post, Miami Herald, Time Magazine and Houston Chronicle. He has lectured at or been an adjunct for the Maynard Institute, Poynter Institute, American Press Institute and USC's Annenberg School of Journalism. Matsuda served on the national and Los Angeles boards of the Asian American Journalists Association and the board of the Casey Journalism Center for Children and Families. His bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism are from Northwestern University.
