Keith Hopper is director of product strategy and development at NPR, defining the next generation of station-focused products and services for the Public Interactive Division. He has worked in public media for four years, where he launched the online community engagement software Public Action in over 20 markets and for four nationally syndicated programs, and was responsible for helping conceive and build the original Public Radio Tuner and NPR News iPhone apps. Hopper began his career as an online technology consultant with the launch of Mosaic 0.9. Professional distinctions of note include founding member of the innovative micro-philanthropy The Awesome Foundation, creator of the award-winning online mash-up NPRbackstory, and a contributing author for the book, Collective Intelligence: Creating a Prosperous World at Peace.
