Margaret Stock

Margaret Stock is a nationally recognized expert in issues related to immigration and citizenship law and has testified on these issues before Congress. She has practiced U.S. immigration and citizenship law for more than 10 years and currently is the equivalent of an associate professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. She has taught classes in international relations, national security law, international law, Constitutional and military law, and law of war. She also has served as a professor in the Department of Law at West Point. In 2005, the American Immigration Lawyers Association awarded her its prestigious Advocacy Award for her efforts to inform the public and Congress about the connection between immigration and national security. She recently co-authored a paper on the connection between immigration and national security; the paper is available at the website of the Combating Terrorism Center at the US Military Academy. Stock earned her bachelor's degree in Government (International Relations) at Harvard-Radcliffe (1985); her Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School (1992); and a Master's in Public Administration at he John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is also a 2006 graduate of the Army War College, which awarded her a Master of Strategic Studies degree.
